How Can we Better Support our Colleagues?

This article is highly relevant for #NursingEducation as our recent study found that a large percentage of #NursingFaculty believe their health and well-being have been negatively affected by their work environment. Many of these faculty report chronic workplace stress and high levels of #MoralDistress. While we found #MoralCourage to be positively correlated to #Resilience, it is often an elusive phenomenon due to the #hierarchy and #culturalnorms which result in fear of retaliation or other negative outcomes. Regulatory bodies are reinforcing the importance of teaching #MoralCourage to our learners (see the AACN #NewEssentials) but we must first learn to embrace it for ourselves. #RNPrep #ResilientTeams
